Inspired by the classic Jump Blues and Rock 'n' Roll of the 50s and 60s - the music of Etta James, Dinah Washington, Little Richard and Johnny Otis, the Silk Street Jivers are among the slickest, sexiest and entertaining bands on the circuit, guaranteed to get any audience off their feet and onto the dance floor.
Members of the Silk Street Jivers have have worked with a host of stars from Tom Jones and Jamiroquai, to Chaka Khan, Lou Rawls, Jamie Cullum and Michael Bublé. A couple of the members have also performed with the band on the Michael Parkinson show.
The winning combination of hard swinging, tight arrangements, irresistible danceability and tongue in cheek humour make the group a hard act to beat...
The band has performed a wide variety of engagements including weddings, charity balls, awards ceremonies and Christmas parties, and are widely recognised as one of the top wedding bands in the UK.
