The Silk Street Saxophone Quartet is a compact sax section in one! Specialising in the swinging jazz sounds of the big band era. The groups refreshing sounds are ideal for the client who wants to create a lighter but stylish atmosphere. With a repertoire ranging from cool bossa novas to the Beatles, and the pink panther to popular hits, this ensemble adds pure sophistication to any event.
The group has recently played at very prestigious, high profile corporate and private events including the Xterity London Fashion Show, Royal College of Music Soiree D’Or, University College London AGM, Citigroup Private Bank summer party, Sir William McAlpine‘s Annual Steam Day, the Childline Polo Challenge, the Fifth Annual Literary Dinner (the British Library’s annual gala event), and Leopold de Rothschild private cocktail party. The sax quartet is great when you want jazz but you do not have the space for a full band, or you do not want the volume of a drum kit. The group is also very portable, as it is not restricted by the need for a power supply. The sax quartet is completely acoustic and so ideal for outdoor events, or more compact venues. Each member of the ensemble has extensive performance experience, playing at events from wedding ceremonies and receptions to large corporate conferences all around the UK and across the world.
