Performing original material and classic jazz standards, the Silk Street Scat Singer will dazzle you with her vocal agility, compelling presence and passionate delivery with each song she interprets. Whether it is dance music, after dinner cabaret, or the smooth sounds of the 1930s/40s, this enchanting vocalist brings it all to the stage.
Inspired by Sheila Jordan, Anita O'Day, and Ella Fitzgerald, the Silk Street Scat Singer demonstrates a fresh and rhythmically vibrant approach, making your event go with a swing. With regular performaces from Soho to the Southbank, she has headlined at jazz venues across Europe, both as a guest soloist and touring with her own groups. Previous events include Glastonbury, Edinburgh and Cambridge Fringe Festival performances, primetime live performances and interviews on TV, a string of Parisian club dates and performing as a support act for renowned artists such as Ruby Turner, Valery Ponomarev, James Taylor Quartet and Iain Mackenzie.
